PostWarden goes to trial

PostWarden Trial

Because looking at the pretty GIF on the PostWarden webpage isn’t enough to experience the app’s goodness (although it’s a pretty sweet GIF, I might add), I’ve released a trial version of the app!

You can go to http://postwarden.com click on Try it at the top right of the page and then click on the Download Trial button.

Or you can download it right here: http://postwarden.com/trial

It’s a trial version so it comes with a few limitations:

  • Archiving is limited to 500 posts per blog.
  • Composing is limited to 30 new posts or drafts.
  • Limited to only one Tumblr account.

That’s it, no time limitations. If you have less than 500 posts on your Tumblr blogs then this is all you need! Well… if you have 500 posts on your Tumblr blogs, then what have you been doing all this time? Get tumbling! :)

If you like PostWarden after trying out the trial version then go get it at the Mac App Store

Note: PostWarden and PostWarden Trial require Mac OS X 10.7 or above and a 64-bit processor

PostWarden hits the Mac App Store

Thanks to everybody who helped test PostWarden during beta.

Some of your suggestions have made it into the first release, those that didn’t will probably make their way into future versions.

This is only the beginning, now that the app is stable enough for release I can start working on features you’ve requested and others I have in mind.

PostWarden Beta 4

A new beta version is ready to be downloaded! It might be the last beta version before release.

This update includes a few bug fixes, UI tweaks and improvements. The main change is that PostWarden will now load images from the archive. Because of this, posts will render faster and images will be displayed even without an internet connection. The in-app help has also been improved by adding new items under the Help menu bar item.

Download PostWarden Beta 4 at the following link: http://bit.ly/pw-beta4

Unzip and replace the old one with the new one when dragging it to your Applications folder.

Update: The beta phase is over, the link above will not work anymore. PostWarden can now be downloaded from the Mac App Store.

PostWarden Beta 3

A new beta version is ready to be downloaded! This time it includes several bug fixes and a few UI tweaks. The main change is the fact that now when you edit or create a new post in PostWarden, the UI will reflect those changes immediately. Another noticeable change is that the blog which is currently selected on the main window will be pre-selected on the post composer window.

Fun fact of threes

Just increased the PostWarden version number to v0.0.3 for beta 3, when committing the changes, it turned out to be changeset number 333.
